Parades and Processions

• Gran Desfile de Día de Muertos 2025: The main parade, with this year's theme being "The art of drag and lucha libre." It will feature giant figures, floats, and musical groups.

  • Date: Saturday, November 1

  • Route: From Puerta de los Leones in Chapultepec to the Zócalo.

• Mega Procesión de Catrinas: A large procession where people can participate dressed as Catrinas and Catrines. Professional makeup artists will be available on-site.

  • Date: Sunday, October 26

  • Route: From the Angel of Independence to the Zócalo.

• Desfile de Alebrijes Monumentales: A parade featuring more than 200 monumental alebrijes. The exhibition of these pieces will remain on display on Paseo de la Reforma after the parade.

  • Route: From the Zócalo to the Angel of Independence.

Ofrendas and Exhibitions

• Ofrenda Monumental en el Zócalo: A massive altar in the Zócalo dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the founding of Mexico-Tenochtitlán.

  • Location: Zócalo, CDMX

• Megaofrenda UNAM: An offering at the Palacio de la Autonomía of the UNAM.

  • Dates: October 31 to November 2

  • Location: Palacio de la Autonomía UNAM

• Festival de Ofrendas y Catrinas: An event in the Historic Center featuring altars and Catrina displays.

  • Dates: October 28 to November 3

  • Location: Various points in the Historic Center

• Mexicráneos: An exhibition of 105 monumental skulls.
